Revit authoring and façade package coordination. Clash detection and resolution across the façade–structure–fire–MEP interfaces, with parametric studies in Rhino and Grasshopper where the geometry earns them.
Independent assessment of an existing envelope package: what has been specified, what has been built, and where the gap sits. Second opinion on contractor proposals and remedial strategies.
Alternative technical solutions that reduce construction risk and cost without conceding performance or compliance — developed with the subcontractor rather than imposed on them, so they survive contact with the workshop.
Mock-up witnessing, performance test attendance, factory inspection and installation verification, with photographic evidence and written reporting in English for the design team.
A large share of the curtain walling on UK projects is fabricated in northern Italy and continental Europe. Monitoring it from London costs a flight, a hotel and a week of a senior engineer's time — which is why, in practice, it often does not happen at all.
I am based in Milan, work natively with the Italian supply chain, and report in British English to your team. A factory visit becomes a day rate and a train ticket.
